Lately in a small town near the lake, whispers abound of a Toad Wizard with dark powers.
Local legends tell tale of a Journeyman Wizard who mistakenly turned himself into a frog. The curse that he lay on himself also had a side effect. Immortality, with a price. In addition to his new Amphibious form, he also sleeps for decades at a time. The townsfolk have seen large webbed foot prints near the lakeside. Animals have gone missing, with no sign of struggle. The party's first run in is shortly after they arrive in town. A woman comes into the tavern screaming for help. Her child is gone. And the only sign of her daughter's passing is a set of webbed footprints leading towards the lake...
