Ikaina is the Dwarven proprietor of a shop in Windbreak named The Gentle Touch. She started the shop when she moved to Windbreak. Originally, she came to help with a single illness, but fell in love with the city.
She misses the Forest she called home, and still harbors small animals from time to time. Ikaina is a member of a druidic order that focuses on healing those that suffer. She works tirelessly to ensure that disease, plague, and poisons are eliminated from the city. Once a year she works with others to prepare rites of growth, prosperity, and bounty. This, however, is not her focus. Ikaina gathers information and uses it to ensure the safety of the town folk, and her circle. She often communicates with animals to send messages around town. Birds, Dogs, and sometimes fish, bring her rare herbs which she mixes into concoctions, poultices, and healing kits for those with some skill. The rarer and more dangerous ingredients, she will administer herself. ___________________________________________________________________ Personality Ikaina is kind and wise. She does not put up with rough housing of any form in her shop, and will meet violence with the vengeance of nature. Those that think to take advantage of her will learn faster than they can run. Ikaina wears a smile, a few simple braids, and wears furs and leathers. She scoffs at those that profess living a more "Natural" lifestyle by giving up meat, or not wearing animal clothing; These things are part of the circle of life. However, she won't judge on most anything else. Players meeting Ikaina (Eek Eye Nah) will find her quite willing to help in matters of health and healing. She can readily identify body parts, restore limbs, reveal obscure information about nature, and even restore life to those that pay the price. She has a soft voice, a strong arm, and a sharp wit. ___________________________________________________________________ Using Ikaina Ikaina is the perfect NPC for an escort quest through enemy territory. If she is being escorted to provide healing for someone, she won't use her magics, in case the person that is ill will require them. She will rely on the party to defend her. She is also a great NPC to learn about odd things concerning Anatomy or Identification of Species. Players will be directed to her by many townsfolk if they inquire about such topics. She charges a small fee for information, and a great fee for magics that others might not provide (Such as Resurrection).
